Policemen take cover as protestors throw stones towards them at down town area of Srinagar, summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir Wednesday. Two people were killed and more than 75 injured, as police resorted to firing, tear smoke shelling and cane charge to quell violent protests that have spiralled to all the major towns and other areas of Kashmir. The protestors are up in arms against the transfer of 40 acres of ecologically sensitive forest land to a hindu religious shrine board for raising constructions to accomodate devotees going for an annual pilgrimage to holy Amarnath cave. / Kashmir Newz Picture June 25, 2008: Policemen take cover as protestors throw stones towards them at down town area of Srinagar, summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir Wednesday.
